This is my first montage... I started with a picture of two sunflowers. One in focus and one not in focus. I cut out the focused flower. I decided to put a picture of a girl doing a cartwheel and decided to make it into a pattern along the petals. I also changed the coloring of the sunflower (originally it was yellow). It was hard to do the background because I didn't want to have anything too distracting.
The rule of thirds is used because the sunflower is on the left side. I think the focal point is the purple center of the sunflower because it's a powerful color and the girl doing cartwheels is surrounding it. The color of the girls shirt also directs the eye toward the center of the sunflower. I think unity has been made through the pattern of the petals and the girl doing cartwheels. I layered the background, sunflower, and girl. I also grouped the layers of the girl at the end. I think that the mood is being happy and unified because it has a strong pattern and the colors are bright and colorful.
--?? What is something I could have added to the photo to make it more interesting ??--
